Tiny plants (and even tinier puppies)

The beautiful weather this weekend made this Saturday’s workday one of the best yet. We harvested kale and chard and continued to transplant our baby collard greens and cabbage. We’re taking plenty to care to make sure these starts get the TLC they need, which means extra watering, weeding, composting, and straw-spreading. At this point, all but one bed are filled with delicious veggies-to-be. Spring has finally arrived for the garden!

Check out the pictures, especially the one of leadership team member Holly Mayton rocking her UVa Community Garden t-shirt…along with her little garden-loving puppy pal, Rory the beagle.
