Beautiful evening on Tuesday – thanks to John, Maggie, Joe, Graham, Emily, and Michelle for all of your hard work! We mounded the potatoes and asparagus with some dirt to help encourage more root growth and then moved down to the space behind Gilmer where we weeded, spread compost, and planted corn. We planted Silver Queen sweet corn – a very common hybrid variety found in many backyard gardens. As we prepare more space we will also plant an open pollinated heirloom variety as well as other crops. Enjoy these photos from the evening!
