Spring has sprung in Charlottesville! We have enjoyed several days of 60+ degree weather this week and abundant sunshine. A few students still in town during spring break were able to get out to the garden and plant some sugar snap peas and loose leaf lettuce early this week. Look for announcements soon about upcoming planting dates in the garden.
As we begin to plant for the spring, the need is greatest for financial support for the garden. As a student run organization, we rely on donations to help purchase equipment and supplies and support our student workers. Donating to the UVa Community Garden is an excellent way to show your support for student gardening, community building, and local food! Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.
It is now even easier to donate to the garden with our online donation form. Online donations are managed by the University of Virginia through the Hoosonline program.
