Some exciting events coming soon…..
Friday, August 28th – Harvesting – 4pm
Volunteers will be harvesting swiss chard, lettuce, kale, tomatoes, and potentially green beans to donate to the Charlottesville Community Food Project Saturday morning. This will be a smaller harvest and probably our last donation for the year as the summer growing season wraps up.
Sunday, August 30th – Garden “Open House” – 4:30pm
Come by the garden to see what’s growing and learn more about its history and purpose. An overview of volunteer opportunities and helpful hints will also be discussed. This event is primarily for new volunteers and those interested in becoming volunteers. Bring a friend!
Thursday, September 3rd – Garden Workday – 4pm – 6pm
Our first workday of the new semester! Come join us to help pull weeds, take out summer plants, compost, mulch, and put in some fall seeds. This event is come and go as you can.
Hope you can make it out to visit soon!
